The best way to keep your credit report in good shape is to pay your bills on time. You will want to check your credit report on an annual basis for errors and have them corrected.
If you find an error, contact the reporting credit bureau immediately. By law, it must investigate and respond to your inquiry within 30 days of receipt of your letter.

What's the Difference?

Many lenders rely on a scoring model devised by the Fair Isaac Corporation called the FICO ® Credit Score. The FICO score is based on the following information found in the credit report:
