Help! What If I Forget My Access My Accounts Password?
Whether signing up for the first time or already an experienced user of Access My Accounts Online, you should complete a very important step of the process, answering the "Secret Question/Phrase" with the appropriate "Response." This is essential in the event you forget your password. (See the NOTE below if you've never provided us a Secret Question/Phrase and Response.)
Should you forget your password, you can click on the "FORGOT PASSWORD?" link on our home page (see image showing location of this link), where you will be prompted to answer your Secret Question/Phrase with the Response you've chosen, and your password will be emailed to you.
Your password will be emailed to the address you enter in the "Email Address" on the online enrollment form, but it will not be sent to the "Work Email Address" (this is an optional entry for the VSECU's information only). Therefore, consider entering the email address you will likely use during the weekend or evenings, on a business trip or on vacation.
To protect your VSECU accounts online, Access My Accounts will ask you to change your password every 90 days. You may also change your password, add or change your Secret Question/Phrase and Response and edit other personal information by clicking "Options" in the upper right hand corner of the Access My Accounts screen. NOTE: If you don't have "Secret Question/Phrase" information on file with us, these fields of the "Options" screen will be blank. Next time you're using Access My Accounts be sure to go to "Options" and provide us with a Secret Question/Phrase and Response so that you can use the "Forgot Password" feature when you need to.
