Purchasing Savings Bonds:
- EE Bonds are issued at 50% of face value. (A $100 EE Bond costs $50.)
- I Bonds are issued at face value. (A $100 I Bond costs $100.)
- Limit of $10,000 ($20,000 value) can be purchased per Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number, per calendar year for EE Bonds
- Limit of $10,000 can be purchased per Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number, per calendar year for I Bonds
