What to Know When Logged In to Access My Accounts Online

Access My Accounts Online uses secure communication, which means that our systems will only allow browsers that support Secure Socket Layers (SSL). SSL ensures that electronic data communicated between your browser and the Access My Accounts Online system cannot be read by a third party, even if the data communication is intercepted.

The Vermont State Employees Credit Union has established Access My Accounts Online, as well as secure online applications and forms, by enlisting the services of VeriSign's Secure Server ID service. (VeriSign is a leading provider of encryption technology for secure transmission of data in an electronic commerce environment.)

To log on to Access My Accounts Online, you will be required to use Safe2Login. Once you have registered with Safe2Login, you then will be able to use your SafeCode to enable the Access My Accounts Online sign on fields. Then you will be able to enter your Sign On ID and Password to verify your identity. Another precaution we have taken is that your session will end if you do not have contact with the Access My Accounts Online system for a specified period of time.

Finally, in order to control incoming and outgoing information, Access My Accounts Online uses a state of the art firewall to prevent invasive data from unauthorized sources from entering our systems. The firewall also ensures that only authorized data leaves the systems.

What's the Difference between General Email and the Access My Accounts Online "MailBox"?

The VSECU website shows most email addresses as links, allowing you to communicate with us through the convenience of email. (These links should automatically open a "send message" window using your email client of choice.) Unfortunately, there is currently no widely accepted method of encrypting email sent or received through email clients such as Outlook, Eudora, AOL, etc. Because of this, we advise you NOT to include any confidential information in your website email correspondence. This includes Social Security numbers, account numbers, PIN numbers, passwords, etc.

If you wish to communicate sensitive or personal information via the Internet, use any "MailBox" link on Access My Accounts Online. (Look for these links at the top right-hand side of your screen when using Access My Accounts.) Mail submitted when logged on to Access My Accounts is an encrypted communication tool for confidential information.
