Energy Efficient Home Improvements with VSECU and Efficiency Vermont
VSECU is now working with Efficiency Vermont to make your energy efficient home improvements more affordable.
Energy efficient home improvements must be completed using a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® contractor approved by Efficiency Vermont to qualify for this program. Each project must be pre-approved by Efficiency Vermont before installation in order to qualify. You may be able to reduce your interest rate on your VSECU loan up to 3.50% for up to 5 years.
VSECU gives you three loan options with this program:
- Collateral Secured
- Vehicle, camper, boat, other secured
- The starting rate on this loan is based on credit rating and a term up to 5 years

- Energy Improvement Loan (unsecured)
- The starting rate on this loan is based on credit rating and a term up to 5 years
- The rate is 1% lower than the VSECU personal loan rate

Example: Home Equity loan with a starting rate of 5.00% - 3.50% rate reduction = 1.50% annual percentage rate fixed rate for 60 months.
