ATM Surcharge and Fee Updates

ATM Surcharges and Fees Update

Surcharges for Use of Rite Aid ATMs to Resume on November 7

A surcharge is charged by an ATM owner to non-customers for use of their machine.

VSECU ATM users have enjoyed a two-year break from ATM surcharges in Rite Aid stores throughout Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. The suspension of these ATM surcharges was part of a time-bound contract that ends on November 7. If you are an ATM user, we hope you have enjoyed the break. When the contract comes to a close, the ATM machines located in Rite Aid stores will resume collecting their normal surcharge fees.

Credit Union Fees for Non-VSECU ATMs End on November 7

A fee is charged by a financial institution to the consumer for using a non-network ATM (an ATM that the institution does not own).

To reduce the cost of this change to our members, we are eliminating the $1.50 fee, for use of non-VSECU ATMs, on the same date. To find surcharge-free ATMs in your area, use the ATM locator.
