We are excited to welcome Janet Hollner, from Bennington Vermont, to the VSECU Board of Directors.
In July VSECU announced the resignation of board member Jana Bagwell and began accepting applications to fill the unexpired term until the 2015 Annual Meeting elections. After reviewing many qualified applicants, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to appoint Janet Hollner to serve the unexpired vacancy.
“I have great respect and admiration for VSECU, and I’m very grateful that I’ll have the opportunity to serve on the board. I will be able to represent VSECU’s Bennington area members and bring a southwestern Vermont perspective to the board. I think that my service will help to draw Bennington into the VSECU family,” stated Hollner on accepting the position.
Janet grew up in Central New York and later moved to Vermont with her husband where they raised their children. She has worked for the Enchanted Doll House in Manchester, the historic E.L. Nichols department store in Bennington and currently holds a position of 18 years in the accounting department of Southwestern Vermont Health Care.
A member of the PMH Credit Union board since 2009, Hollner served as the Board Chair from 2011 through the recent merger with VSECU. Her years of experience as a board member in the credit union industry will be a benefit to the VSECU Board of Directors.
