Come Eat with Us at the Bennington Empty Bowls Supper on November 13

Empty bowls article

Join VSECU and the Greater Bennington Interfaith Community Services for the annual Empty Bowls Soup Supper. We have donated $5,000 to the event this year, which is designed to raise awareness around food insecurity in Bennington and to raise funds for the Kitchen Cupboard, a Bennington-based food program.

Event details include:

Date: Sunday, November 13
Time: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Place: Mount Anthony Union Middle School at 747 East Road
Cost: $12.00

This event is open to the public as an opportunity to join in a meal with people who do not have enough to eat. For the price of the ticket, you get a handmade ceramic bowl, which you can fill with soup and bread donated by local restaurants, community members, and civic groups. This year, 500 bowls will be made for the Empty Bowls meal at Bennington College, through their course entitled Ceramics and Social Justice.
