Heather Jarvis, a VSECU member who has served on the Board of Directors since 2011, has resigned from the position in order to pursue personal goals. Heather brought a unique set of skills and perspectives to the board, serving the membership with a passion for supporting financial health and a strong commitment to the community and the environment.

Spencer Newman was appointed by the board to serve out the remainder of Heather’s term, which ends in March of 2017. Spencer, who lives in Burlington with his wife and two children, serves as a part time CFO and financial strategy consultant for energy and high-tech companies in Vermont and New York and serves on the boards of the Nathaniel Group and the Vermont Heritage Financial Group. You can read more about Spencer on our Board of Directors page.

This opening on our Board of Directors is one of four that must be filled during our 2017 elections. If you think you have what it takes to become a board member, please review the director qualifications and apply by November 15.
