In accordance with VSECU Bylaws, ARTICLE XIX, Section 1(a), Amendments to Article II, Section 1, amendments to the Qualification for Membership may be adopted by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the authorized number of members of a duly held Board meeting, if the membership has been given at least 10 days’ notice of said meeting and the notice has contained a copy of the proposed amendment.

The Board of Directors, during their regularly scheduled board meeting on May 17, will discuss and vote on expanding VSECU’s field of membership to include members of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA).

NESEA is a non-profit regional trade association, with an educational focus and mission that aligns with VSECU’s vision of creating greater environmental prosperity for more Vermonters. The purpose of including this group into our field of membership is (1) to ensure the sustainability of our VGreen program for our credit union members and (2) to expand access to our VGreen loans for energy efficiency and renewable products by the members of NESEA.

Find the proposed amendment to the field of membership below, with the added field of membership italicized in bold lettering.
