Another Way’s doors are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year providing advocacy, outreach, information, referrals, crisis intervention, access to housing resources, peer support, supported employment, educational opportunities, free meals, snacks, and access to food resources. Their free Friday night community dinner provides a well-rounded meal for up to 50 individuals and Wednesday breakfast for up to 20 individuals each week (up to 300 meals each month). These meals offer fundamental sustenance, and fill in gaps not covered by other community meals, for the many who are experiencing food scarcity in our community.

Another Way applied for VGives funding and was awarded a capital grant to increase the capacity of their kitchen to provide meals and nutrition education, and to process donated food from gleaning and food shelves,

“Healthy, regular food availability is cornerstone to wellness. This award will allow us to do the much-needed repairs to our plumbing system in our commercial kitchen. From this we will be able to generate more meals for those we support, generate income for use in our programs through catering, offer job training skills, teach workshops on food budgeting and nutrition, and process donated food safely.” – Elaine Martin, Executive Director of Another Way
