ST. JOHNSBURY, VT—VSECU had its official groundbreaking ceremony at the site for its new St. Johnsbury Branch on July 10 at 1036 Memorial Drive.
This office will serve as VSECU’s first Northeast Kingdom location. The renovation of the purchased site will allow VSECU the flexibility to expand its services to credit union members in the NEK.
“Our members from all over Vermont frequently ask ‘when will you open a branch in my community?’ The answer is soon to our members living in the St. Johnsbury and surrounding areas,” said Terrence Field, a Senior VP from the credit union attending the ceremony.
For years, VSECU members in northeastern Vermont have conducted their business with VSECU by mail, telephone and online via the internet, but the new office will give them the opportunity to chat in person with a VSECU member service consultant. The branch will offer all VSECU financial products and services and will include state-of-the-art remote teller machines and a fully accessible 24/7 ATM. The building will also provide a community room for mortgage loan closings, meetings and community use.
Designed by Gossens Bachman Architects of Montpelier, the building’s construction will be managed and implemented by E.F. Wall & Associates of Barre during the coming summer and fall months. The target for project completion is December 2013.
