Jumbo Mortgage

A large mortgage doesn’t mean you have to give up the personal, local service provided by VSECU staff. We developed our jumbo Vermont or New Hampshire mortgage so that members with more extensive borrowing needs can still be serviced with local funds. With a Jumbo Mortgage you get an adjustable mortgage rate that will not increase more than 5% over the life of the loan.

If you’re looking to purchase or refinance your Vermont or New Hampshire primary residence, second home, or home under construction with a value exceeding $417,000, the maximum amount for most conventional loan products, VSECU can still meet your lending needs.

VSECU’s Jumbo Mortgage is a 5/1 adjustable rate mortgage product that allows you to finance up to 100% of the home’s value (with private mortgage insurance). The rate will adjust no more than 2% annually after the fifth year and no more than 5% over the life of the mortgage. Closing costs will be discussed with you throughout the loan process and disclosed prior to closing. VSECU works to keep these costs as low as possible for our members. Seasonal Mortgage

Seasonal vacation homes can be wonderful places to relax with your family and Vermont and New Hampshire have plenty to offer. At VSECU, we’re here to help make financing your seasonal vacation home as simple as possible. A seasonal home is generally not suitable for occupancy year-round and is usually referred to as a camp. We can underwrite your loan as long as you occupy the residency for part of the year. If you plan on renting it out while you’re away, even better- we can use that to help ease the application process.
