VSECU Mobile Wallet Service Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions describe the use of your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) in conjunction with a Mobile Wallet Service, referred to as “MWS” hereafter.

Eligibility: You must have an active VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) account in good standing in order to be eligible to use a MWS. If your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) or any underlying VSECU account becomes delinquent, is in a negative status or is otherwise maintained in an unsafe manner as determined by VSECU, your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) may be removed by VSECU from a MWS.

Your Role: You are responsible for providing your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) information to a MWS at your discretion. Transactions will be processed similarly to how your physical card transactions are processed today except the majority of merchants will not have access to your actual card number. Instead, merchants will receive a unique virtual card number associated with your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s). Transit merchants may receive your actual card number (i.e., subway systems) in order to process real-time decisions. You understand that you are entering information into the mobile device but a MWS is not storing the information.

Our Role: A MWS allows you to make purchases using your registered Debit or Credit card(s). Your acceptance of these terms and conditions authorize a MWS to collect, analyze, and relay information in connection with purchases made using a MWS. Purchases made through a MWS are also subject to terms, conditions, and/or agreements governing your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s). VSECU is not a provider of a MWS and is not responsible for any failure or inability to perform a transaction using a MWS.

Account Ownership/Accurate Information: You represent that you are the legal owner of the account and other financial information which may be accessed through a MWS. You represent and agree that all information you provide in connection with a MWS is accurate, current, and complete, and that you have the right to provide such information to us for the purpose of operating a MWS. You agree not to misrepresent your identity or your account information.

Account History: When a purchase is made through a MWS using a registered VSECU Debit or Credit card(s), it will appear on your VSECU account statement in the same manner as any other purchase using your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s). You can access your purchase activity if you are enrolled in our Online Banking service. If you believe there is an error, or if you believe you have unauthorized purchases with a MWS, please contact VSECU immediately about the error or unauthorized purchases at 802/800 371-5162.

Restrictions: Participation in a MWS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. VSECU reserves the right to refuse any transaction for any reason.

Lost/Stolen/Compromised Mobile Device: You agree to take every precaution to ensure the safety, security and integrity of your account and transactions when using a MWS. You agree to notify us as soon as possible if: i) your mobile device is lost or stolen; or ii) if you believe your password or other security measures for your mobile device have been compromised in any way.

Changes in these Terms and Conditions: Except as otherwise required by law, VSECU may change these terms, and modify or cancel the eligibility to use your VSECU card(s) with a MWS at any time, without notice. You cannot change these terms but you can terminate them by removing your VSECU Debit or Credit card(s) from a MWS.

Exclusion of Warranties; Limitation of Liability; Indemnification: YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF A MWS IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF A MWS IS OBTAINED AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK, AND VSECU IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL, WHETHER DUE TO ANY COMPUTER VIRUS OR OTHERWISE. VSECU MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY AS TO THE COMPLETENESS, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR CURRENCY OF ANY INFORMATION OR DATA THAT YOU OBTAIN THROUGH THE USE OF A MWS.
