Personal Teller Machine Representative

The VSECU Personal Teller Machine Representative serves members by performing financial transactions and providing information, through the use of a personal teller machine located remotely. And is responsible for maintaining accurate records and balanced funds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve members remotely through use of two way audio and a video screen by handling deposit, withdrawal, transfer and loan payment transactions and providing information about current balances for all loan and deposit products.

Respond to member inquiries about products and services, rates and options. Explain the use of various services and products to access and utilize accounts, including: electronic banking, ATM, credit/debit cards, and money orders, cashier checks.

Comply with VSECU policies and practices related to assigned duties and with Vermont and federal regulations regarding monetary transactions and reporting requirements, such as Suspicious Activity Report, Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and Truth in Savings. Maintain strict confidentiality practices for the protection and care of members.

Perform routine tasks such as open new memberships, process coupon requests, change of address, statement request from members, and other assigned duties to assist Electronic Services.

Position will be responsible for running transactions for multiple Branches that support the Personal Teller Machine platform. The Personal Teller Machines is connected to a live teller via phone and video and the teller conducts the transaction for the member who is at a satellite VSECU location.

Education/Knowledge and Experience:

High school diploma with math or accounting and computer coursework preferred, and experience working in a customer service environment, preferably including performing financial transactions or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Excellent communication skills, enjoy working with the public, and possess a strong math aptitude.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft products.

Job Competencies:

Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products and services.

Able to participate in working on large project or to independently handle smaller projects as assigned.

Ability to communicate in a positive, polite, and helpful manner and to respond appropriately to member needs and requests with a wide range of individuals, including difficult and angry members. Pay a great deal of attention to detail.

Ability to regularly identify opportunities for cross-selling products and services to benefit members.

Conscientious and appropriate with appearance and behavior that fits a professional setting.

Ability to work independently and take initiative to seek and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and the ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast paced environment.

Ability to work overtime to achieve end of day balancing or when department needs require extra effort.

Ability to balance work between CORE and the Personal Teller Machine.

Must be comfortable working in an audio/video environment. Must present a friendly professional image on the video screen.

Working Conditions:

This position requires sitting for long periods of time. Daily assignments require working at a desk. Duties require extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeat motion. Headsets are provided to allow freedom of movement to avoid strain and regular stretching breaks are required to avoid injury.
